I have both been a participant of the Shasta Mud Run and volunteered many years at the event and cannot say enough how freaking FUN it is! It is, by far, my favorite event of the year. My son has participated and volunteered at it from ages 7-10 and he always looks forward to all the mud, running around the vendor area, good food, fun music and always great weather. And to top it off, it's all for the local youth in Shasta County. Can't get any better than that!

4th time mudder. Only a few things I would change. For the rope pull up the wall obstacle I would add some type of little step halfway up. I saw alot of people including myself get our legs roadrashed and bruised by this. Mainly because it was too slick to try to pull yourself up. Secondly I wish there were more variations in obstacles, seems like the majority of them were crawling on your knees or belly under barbwire. But overall it's a fun time. Worth the experience if you've never done it before.

Absolutely a good time, not a hard course for someone who NEVER runs. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have a good time with zero pressure. Good cause too!

Way too much fun! We crawled through muddy tunnels, scalled across logs, crawled over tire walls, and enjoyed the festival afterward.

Brutal challenge but super fun. 3 miles of crazy mud pits, super slides and upper and lower body obstacles.
