We had a wonderful time and spent a lot on vendors there. It was a lot of fun. My daughter was given a string to collect beads from different people participating and that made her experience far more engaging. I do recommend giving a few hours when you go because it was well worth it! Will be back again next year!

I'm a little biased in the fact I love renaissance festivals and to say this local festival is so worth the trip to Sioux Falls, SD. The volunteers were amazing, stayed in character very well. Wish I could stay in character like that myself and everyone is incredibly helpful and they engage with children really well. There was this viking reenactor who tried and successfully engaged with my 3 year old son who was scared of everyone, but he won his confidence. The mead that was offered had incredible flavor. The food was good and there were plenty of vendors. Of course I bought period Era attire, a sword, dagger, and a couple wooden swords and shields for the kids. The activities they had for children are engaging and appropriate for all ages and even adults can interact with these activities if you have young children. Unlimited root beer, music at almost every corner, hourly shows, and plenty of renaissance spirit where not just volunteers were in character. Jousting and combat are energetic, engaging, and even the children got involved with the cheering and entertainment. If you're interested in going to this festival next year, the date will be June 3rd and 4th in 2023. This is going to be a yearly thing for my family, that's for sure.

Seemed like it was completely disorganized and spread out. Most of the items for sale were widely overpriced or Chinese garbage. Just getting in was 15$ a person more than getting into the Minneapolis ren fest. I would not recommend going again

Okay. Seems overpriced ( $15) gate fee isn't completely worth the experience inside. Mainly just a few tents with vendors the majority set up inside of a building. The Joust was cool. Not really worth. Probably won't go again.
