PROS: clean and seemingly well organized, with lots of inventory
CONS: no prices on most items (CDs and reduced price LPs were the exception). They offer a scanning tool on one side of the store so they expect shoppers to carry items over there to find out the price which I find ridiculous. They are too lazy to put prices on their records - worse than trying to shop vinyl at Target. No used inventory. Sterile environment. If this is the new breed, I'll stick with the friendlier type of stores I'm used to, that carry new and used records, and actually take the time to put price tags on them. Highly disappointed, and doubtful I'll return. At least they use paper bags.

I stopped by Siren Records after work one day, and the experience was quite off-putting. Upon entering, the clerk gave me a peculiar look and glanced at both his watch and the clock. He bluntly informed me, "If you don't know what you're looking for, we are closed,'" even though it was still 10 minutes until their posted closing time at 4 PM. Honestly, I'm somewhat relieved by the interaction—it saved me money and helped me avoid traffic.

From my few visits, it seems customer appreciation might not be a priority here. Despite my previous purchases, the staff has consistently appeared indifferent. It's disheartening when you're trying to support a local brick-and-mortar store, especially when online options are more affordable. I don't enjoy feeling undervalued in a place where I'm spending my money. Unfortunately, I won't be returning; they can keep their records. It's a shame, really.

This is one of my favorite record stores in northern California that sells new records only - no (or very few) used records for sale here.

They have a fantastic selection of modern and alternative rock LPs.
(They have classic rock and some jazz as well.)
And every time I visit, they usually have a few albums on sale that I'll pick up.

Highly recommended!

(FYI: No CDs sold here, which is okay by me as I rarely ever listen to them.)

Great store with a great selection of music. They don't sell any used records, and they don't put the prices on them, so they have a scanner tool that tells you on the far left wall when you walk in. Their prices are comparable to online. Even then, I don't mind spending a little more to support a local business and the fact I can pick out the record I want and not have to wait for shipping. I got a warped record from them before and came back the next day and they let me exchange it with no hassle. Overall I really like siren!

Great Record store! Always find a rare record here for my collection. Big Jazz section. Very good selection of used tube and solid state stereo equipment. I always tell my wife I'll only 10min; but really it's 3 hours.

Very good selection: all new and popular albums. After reading other people’s reviews I figured they’d be the same price online so I decided I’d check this place out. They were right in the sense that no vinyl had a set price on it. When you ring out, the cashier doesn’t even tell you how much each one is just tells you your total. They overcharged around $10 or more on every vinyl. It wasn’t until I had to ask the cashier myself how much it was that they gave me the correct pricing. Cool place I guess but because of the overpriced records, I recommend just buying them online as it would save you a considerable amount of money. Will not be returning.

Once in a great while you stumble across vinyl gold; that's what happened to me today at Siren Records. I was deeply impressed with the cleanliness, layout, and vast and rich selection of records, in particular, indie/alternative. It all started with a friendly hello from the employee at the desk, later followed by a great conversation with the kind owner. Both are quite personable and knowledgeable. Fast forward a couple of hours later and I left a very happy customer with some terrific albums. I hope this cozy and intimate record store gains plenty of public attention and not just on record store day! It's a goldmine.
