Working with studio X has been a great experience. I have had the pleasure of working with Monti, Karina, and Rossy for recording, production, mixing, and mastering for different songs.

They have all been super professional with the process. I have my own setup at home and have worked with other studios before, but Studio X shows their value in the creative process as well. They have a super team of true music professionals.

Reaching out to a new studio can always be a bit daunting, but they will work with you at any level. Highly recommend working with them for any type of service

By far the best studio in Oakland.
When you pick your studio, you want to find a place where you can be free to express yourself as an artist no matter the race, age, or gender; Studio X Recording is built for anyone.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet the owner of the establishment and I’m impressed with the professionalism. You wouldn’t expect a young woman to have the audacity to open a studio in the Oakland area with all the misconceptions, but she sets the tone. The environment is welcoming.
The BATHROOM IS ALWAYS CLEAN! Extremely rare I promise. I could go on about the small things but I’m sure people want to know about these audio engineers.

So, I’d like to say I’m impressed. Nobody is the same and each person has their own individual critiques and adjustments to your sound as an artist. I find this convenient considering I enjoyed working with each individual person. Unfortunately I’m a nerd and I love consistency so I eventually stuck with one person, DJ NELLE! The biggest! My dj! Mi Amigo! Haha, let me chill, but she’s dope. Growing as an engineer and extremely approachable for any new or picky artist. She will allow for your critiques, she won’t argue, she will smile haha, and may even interact.

All in all, I want I say that this was an unbiased review from a Chicago native that would love to see positive energy excel. And yup, I’m telling you stop searching for places to record and travel alllll the way to Oakland like me to actually get some quality work.

P.S. Don’t expect perfection without practice for perfection. Work with the engineers. Don’t expect to get a song done in one hour. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
