I sent them a email today asking to delete my profile because I don’t like wasting my time. I signed up with Talent Talks over a year ago, excited to break into background acting, especially since I’d been told repeatedly that no prior background experience was needed. I followed their advice closely, updating my profile, adding photos, and applying for roles consistently. Despite these efforts, I didn’t get put forward for any work, even for roles where experience wasn’t required.

I didn’t opt for a paid subscription, but Talent Talks still takes a percentage of any work secured, regardless of subscription status. I felt it was a fair arrangement, but the lack of response left me wondering if non-subscribers are deprioritised. In September, I joined another agency without a subscription fee, and by October, I’d already landed my first background role. This experience made me fully question Talent Talks recruitment process and if they choose WHO to promote based on subscription status and so forth.

Overall, it’s been a zilch for me, I was genuinely looking forward to working with Talent Talks but was very disappointed by the lack of movement and opportunities which was absolutely nothing. I hope this review helps others. Please bare this in mind that even when your putting yourself out there sometimes it’s really not you, it’s them!

Another supporting artist recommended Talent Talks to me a few weeks ago as she has had regular work through them. Despite adding photos and having varied experiences in background acting and some TV work which I have included in my profile which I update continually and applying for many roles, I have had nothing.

On 14th November, I sent an email to Louise with a few enquiries and there has been no courtesy of a reply. I have not applied for any roles since then.

big talent talks fan here! have consistently got some great jobs through then and amazing communication. really friendly team who are often present at shoots! they’re very understanding and efficient, hope to get more work from them in the future 🙂

I spent £90 and I got 0 jobs. I asked for a discount and they wouldn’t offer me one. Very disappointed as it comes across like they are just after people’s subscriptions rather than getting people work.
I kept my profile up to date and applied for jobs as much as I could. I also noticed many of the jobs didn’t mention anything about parking which is hard for drivers to plan anything. So that’s why I’m unfortunately not leaving a glowing review.

From their response below - The review is not just about the not mentioning if there’s parking or not on the job board for drivers who do not rely on public transport it’s also about not offering a good will gesture discount to members who don’t get any work and spend a certain amount on a membership as this review probably wouldn’t have been made. Just comes across in a bad light and not caring.

WOW. I know everyone seems to warn against paying for an agency. But IMHO it’s absolutely worth it. LOTS of job offers and most importantly, they are by far the quickest at paying. I was genuinely surprised and happy to see my bank account showing payment for a shoot just 10 days after it wrapped. There are some particularly bad agency’s out there with how slow they pay you, glad to see TT is better than the rest (by about 2 months compared to some, people know which one I mean…)

Amazing agency. I have done three shoots with them and have had a fantastic time each time. When I apply I never think I’ll get it so when I do it’s a big surprise. They make you feel very comfortable and are very professional. I would 100% recommend. They always pay you and keep you posted if they are delayed in anything. I have never had any problems while being at talent talks.

Best agency ever! I have only been an SA for just under a year but I am so glad I joined TT! The team are so friendly and the work is varied. Payments are never delayed and communication is fab. If I could do 7 shoots a week I would!
