I love this place for raves. There's a consession stand in the front when you first come in. There's an open area near the stage where you can stand and rage. There's plenty of seating. You can stand at the seats so that there's some space between you and other people. I love that the back of the theater is at a higher level so that everyone can see the stage. The sound travels well. They use bright lights and lasers. It does get misty and a little humid, so it would be nice if they had better ventilation or some fans for these events. The bathrooms are very small, with 2 stalls.

First time attending an event at the Colonial Theater. TWF SUMMER FEST.24
Fun smack down wrestling. Pick your team ,interact with crowds ,wrestlers.
Clean lobby and clean restrooms . They have concessions stand.parking is available but limited. I recommend Lyft or Uber. Check out the Website.

Nice place to watch a theatrical show. We attended a show put on by Porsha Production and it was good. Their sound system works fine. The decor inside was good and the seats were comfortable (for older style theater seats).
Overall was fine, but a few improvements could be made for better times.
The food counter could not produce fast enough for customers. Took about 15 minutes of waiting to get 4 water bottles and some customers just wanted water bottles. Maybe consider putting vending machines for bottled water and sodas.
The men’s restroom was clean but only has 1 toilet and 1 sink with 3 urinals. The place has a capacity of 560 people so there could be a line.
It was warm around 80s the evening we were here and the theater room wasn’t cool enough even when all the seats were not fully occupied.

Such a small and intimate theatre. The stage and seating are small, but makes everything close and personal. Kim and Ares Moon Circus put on a great show.

Great space for events, recently attended and was a part of Sacramento 350s Ode To Earth Event. Was run very well and they had a silent auction. The vibe of the theater is very old school art deco mixed with an awesome mural on the outside.
Restrooms very old probably should be updated but it keeps with the historical feel of this place.
I was lucky enough to check both greenroom spaces upstairs and their basement very cool! Upstairs has some posters from pervious events and downstairs is great for having snacks and store equipment.
Will definitely have this place on my radar for future events. Would love to check out the movie nights.

I went to an absolutely incredible tribute to Twin Peaks at the Colonial Theater and I had the time if my life! It was well organized and planned, the theater was clean, and the staff was all very friendly. Definitely will be coming back for more events!

Old theater in a sketchy neighborhood. Since it’s general admission, we waited in line out in the hot parking lot for almost an hour. The staff and inside theater were great. The production was great. I saw a sold out show and it was very warm inside. Not unbearable, but I was sweating the whole time.
