Urg bad place! A lot of money for terrible bar food. Eat before coming. Drinks are fine, but again kinda ridiculous prices. Also, they pack you up like sardines! The comedians are good.

2 drinks per a person, not per a card/tab. I wish that was more clear. Other people around us were also confused, this is obvious and exploitation. I would have given 4 star review if this was clear. I have never seen drinks that expensive. $17 for one beer before tax and tip. I also had a the frozen passion fruit drink, very delicious but there was little to no alcohol in it. There was also a very sour smell coming from end of bar near the bathroom, very pronounced.

Good comedy but terrible accessibility. The club is advertised as being accessible, but when we came the ramp was blocked both on entry and on exit, and the elevators close before the show ends. On entry the line was directed down the stairs, with the ramp entry cordoned off. We informed the staff multiple times that we were in line on the ramp, but were ignored, and finally had to move the rope bariers ourselves to get in. On the way out, the ramp was piled high with signs and other obstacles that had to be removed before we could leave. In addition, the elevators leading up to the venue are locked after 10pm, so we had to flag down a security guard to let us down to street level. Ultimately we did get in and out and had a great time at the show, but it came with a lot of frustrations.

Good comedy club with good options for the 2 mandatory drink minimum

This was my first time visiting The Punchline, and it was a great experience. Every staff member I interacted with was professional and friendly. They were very organized and communicated clearly (and repeatedly) about locking away our devices (Dave Chappelle's rule, which is great - except for when you're killing time before the show and want to look something up you can't remember the name of during a conversation haha).

Not sure why people complain about the two drink minimum, as this is pretty standard. And while the drinks are expensive, this is also standard. Just drink water or soda or lemonade, no one is forcing you to buy alcohol ffs.

There are a lot of parking options from garages to street parking that are very close by, which is great.

The staff here is pretty awful. The comedy acts are good. If you can deal with the attitude and entitlement of the venue, go see a show. Additionally, weak drinks are over priced and they still expect a huge tip. If you can navigate your own evening and avoid being pressured into voluntary over-paying (on top of the forced overpaying) you’ll be fine.

We went to the show tonight on 1/23/25 .Two drinks are mandatory per customer even if you buy food , waiters don’t tell you this before hand even after I asked about a 2 drinks mentioned during ticket purchase just to get quick cash will not be going back . 88 dollars for bull. Charges four dollars for guacamole but it’s only avocado. Great show and guest but this place as a food service and pub is ass . Would not suggest to anybody . And my waiter looked at me and ignored me and the lady watching in the back was disrespectful to my lady because she checked the time. If I pay upwards of 50 dollars for a ticket and 88 for food and drinks 138 in total crazy that’s new shoes 🙄 I’m tried of places like this I should be able to check the time on my phone.

We had a wonderful experience at Punchline! We highly recommend for anyone who likes comedy to go and have a night full of laughter! We came to the S.F Comedy Showcase on Sunday night and had the best time, they even had an ugly Christmas sweater contest and although all the sweaters were awesome my favorite was the one guy with a gift hanging over the middle of his waist, if you know what I mean 😏 There was also an older gentleman with a cropped back sweater showing off all the muscles who actually won, well deserved! Thank you Punchline for a hilarious night 💝
