We hired Mark, who said he was bringing an assistant. My husband and I interviewed Mark specifically and felt comfortable with him. But he was not at the wedding, but two of his employees were? He did not tell me he would not be at the wedding. The staff who were there did not exude a positive or cheery attitude with my guests, my vendors, or with my family. Specifically, he was rude to my mom. I refer to the staff as "DJ Timbo." My mother (I'm still incredulous at this) had to interfere when DJ Timbo blocked my bartenders in on the porch with their equipment. DJ Timbo even floated the idea of an additional setup fee since he had to move his equipment off the porch after his initial set up on the porch (this was NEVER in our plan in the first place and Kim never mentioned this to me) to the lawn - which was the original plan when he and I were coordinating in person. The original plan was for the bartenders to be on the porch, always. The rain plan was for the bartenders to set up inside the Baker, or inside the Blue House, and the DJ would be on the porch. But the rain plan was not needed. DJ Timbo (and my wedding planner) thought music had to stop at 10pm or we would be fined due to a sound ordinance. A staff from the setup/tear down team called the Argenta police to inquire. We only had to turn down the music to be compliant. The Baker is a downtown venue where bars and restaurants are just down the street. When we found out the music could continue, we had already played our final 2 exit songs, which was so disappointing! When I told staff at the Baker what had happened, they were shocked because the sound ordinance should have been a non-issue. Guests were under the impression that dancing would stop and the reception would potentially need to move to a bar down the street because my husband and I were given the wrong information. DJ Timbo started to tear down about 10:15pm even though we had paid him through 11pm. My mom stopped him. Also, DJ Timbo played 3 group dance songs in a row, which felt excessive. I would have preferred them to be split up throughout the night, or have 1-2 normal songs in between.

DJ Timbo did an amazing job at our wedding reception!! He made it so much fun, people were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. He is super relaxed and easy to communicate with, which takes away any stress you may have had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR A PARTY EVERYONE WILL REMEMBER!

I used Timbo Promotions for my wedding this weekend and they were definitely one of my top vendors! They were so responsive, accommodating, and laid back. I had a lot of requests for what songs I wanted played and I even wrote little intros I wanted announced for my bridal party as they walked in and they knocked it out of the park for each one! Mark was an amazing DJ for my daughter's wedding. He is such a professional--and such a kind person. He took care of our requests, made great suggestions for improvements, and helped make the day great, from ceremony to reception. He is honestly fantastic to work with, and I HIGHLY recommend you hire him for your DJ needs!

We really went back and forth on having a DJ or not for our wedding reception. It was the best decision we could have made. Mark was brilliant from the beginning. He was in communication with us often, but not overbearing. He assured me that they would take care of everything. Rick handled our reception and also was in contact with me to make sure he knew everything I wanted. He kept our guests entertained prior to our arrival and catered to all requests we threw at him. He came early and stayed for another hour when we realized it was such a good time we couldn't let him go! Our guests told us how much fun they had. The lighting was amazing, the music was great, and Rick and Mark were perfect. You need this team for your event!

Mark was the best. He made sure we were comfortable with the layout before the reception, took our music choices into consideration while making the playlist, and played the PERFECT music based on my wedding guests! The dance floor was never empty! Thank you for making our reception so special. It was the everything we could have asked for!

Mark Timmons was really great from start to finish. He gave a great personal touch with meeting first in person but was never more than a call or text away. He was very accommodating and his calm presence was a godsend during planning. No matter what unexpected surprises were hitting us on the day of, he made sure that we would have everything we wanted and that we were taken care of. I cannot recommend him enough and wish him nothing but the best!
