robert is easily the most talented professional engineer i’ve done business with. he can work with practically any genre (and almost seeming magically) finalizing the product to a prestige quality. he is also a very reasonable guy. if you have a final master by him, and would like to change it at all, he will respond quickly and complete it as you wish (however with me, the product has almost always been perfect every time without many changes required at all.) the studio’s equipment is great as well, i’ve noticed that even without a mix it already sounds perfect to me. as far as the studio’s environment; it’s clean, organized, and most importantly, it’s comfortable. i have always enjoyed my experience at velvet basement, and i would recommend it for anyone that would like to create musical art that goes further than the craft, but making what went into the craft, almost more memorable than anything else.

Go to Velvet Basement! Robert has so much variety for both hardware/plugins it’s the best. I went to another studio that was $130 per hour and I’m telling you do not assume because a studio costs over $100 per hour that it’s magically better because I wanted to add reverb thinking they must have a bunch of choices and they had one option! and that was the cheapest room! But at Velvet Robert has so much more for a way better price!! Whatever you need he’s got you! He’s the nicest person to work with! The live room and control room are great rooms you feel at home in right away. I highly and completely recommend.
