Booked a 1 hour visit as a birthday surprise. My boyfriend had an awesome time. I also had fun, despite knowing nothing about synths. Owner was very knowledgeable but left us alone for the most part.

Such a gem. Whether you love synthesizers, are an artist, or just want to try out some classic toys this is the best spot. I flew in from NYC to pick up a keyboard case and wanted something fun to do with my friend before I caught a flight to Arizona — the Vintage Synthesizer Museum was that and so much more. Thank you Lance for your passion and creating / sharing a synthesizer haven! - DAKOTA WAYNE

The Vintage Synth Museum is one of my favorite places to visit in the Bay Area. Lance, who runs the museum, is super friendly and knowledgeable and can help run you through operation and programming on any of the gear there. The rates are super reasonable, and the selection of gear is crazy! Vintage ARPs and Moogs, you got it. Roland Jupiter 4, 6, AND 8?! 303s, 808s, 909s, Oberheims, Korgs, Yamahas, a Fairlight?! They have it all and it's all set up for you to record whatever you like. Don't miss a chance to get your hands on some of the greatest instruments in electronic music history. This place is a must-visit for any DJs or producers who are visiting the Bay Area and want to spend some time on some instruments you may never have a chance to play.

Highly unrecommended. Big waste of time. You’re paying $60 to tap on some other dudes synthesizer collection (which most vintage synth shops let you do for free) and it is not worth that. Maybe $20. Pretty unwelcoming dude who works there too. I think once someone owns 3+ vintage synths its like they develop an air of grandeur. I saw another review saying the same thing and then saw the owners immature reply telling them to “do better” and how hard it is to run a “museum” like this. Definitely weird vibes. I was going to sample some and they told me that is $75… So I said, can I send you the extra $15 on top of the $60 so I can sample some and the guy made it out to be an issue for some reason so I just didn’t sample anything. Was pretty boring.
