Was there for fireworks. Decent show for consumer grade fireworks. Food trucks were good but not enough bathrooms for the amount of people and getting out after was horrible. No police or anyone directing traffic after.

We had a great time at the Sioux Empire Fair fair! A great midway, albeit a lot pricier than I remember fairs being from years gone by, plenty of food selection, and some great animal exhibits--especially for kids, made the day one to remember. The pace and proximity of attractions created a leisurely atmosphere, particularly when we went on a weekday morning.

Great find for the night with 50amp and water no sewer connection. Arrived late afternoon midweek and was the only camper there. Reasonably priced at $25.00/night cash only placed in the honor box by the office door. You can walk into town from this location. Convenience store/gas station at the corner of the property where you can grab a bite to eat.

This was my first time visiting the fairgrounds. We went for their craft show. There were a lot of vendors and even with trying to space it out more for Covid, there was still so much to see and it didn't feel overly crowded. The inside is huge and there is plenty of room for events. They even had 5 or 6 food trucks set up inside with all the vendors.

We really enjoyed our stay at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds camping. Nice grassy spots, water, sewer and 50 amp service. Very quiet, no highway noise (Yay!). We parked near the grandstand which blocked the sun beaming in the front windshield. There are train tracks but we only heard it once while sitting outside. The older gentleman and lady campground hosts we're very friendly and accomadating, even went to the office after checking us in and brought us a booklet about what to do in Sioux Falls. There are events going on but they did not disturb us; we found them interesting. Where else can you stay that had a Great Inflatable Race, a quarter horse show and motorcycle police training all in one week.

The fair was so much fun! We went for the AG Day. Admission was FREE, It's designed especially for children & they had lots of animals the kids could get up close with. They also had live music & served a free lunch! WOW! Great time had by all of us.

These buildings are not holding up well. No windows and doors are all in tough shape.
