Hey! I’m a past student that was taking private lessons with Chris Hawk back in 2023 from March to August. I just wanted to say he is an amazing teacher. I went in just wanting to test it out for a new hobby and he broke it down for me easily. I’ve never done singing lessons or choir in school beforehand so going in completely fresh and him explaining it made it fun. I’m no longer a student as I’m out of state but because of Chris’ methods of teaching I practice at home in my home recording studio when work allows and I want him to know that. I recommend him for any student.

After a year of ukulele lessons, I have witnessed tremendous growth in my daughter’s playing and skill level. She looks forward to her lessons, and is always in a great mood when done. Working with Emi over the past year has been everything I had hoped for. She has helped me become a better player, improve my rhythm, and blended theory in with practice so I can understand why and how certain sounds fit together and others don’t. I’m a self motivated adult learner and the last thing I need is more pressure after a long day of work.
