I've shopped here numerous times, and the hardest part of moving out of the state will be not shopping at this place. They always have a great selection of albums, usually what I'm looking for, and the staff is always super kind and funny. Their website just made shopping with them 10x easier too, so now I can have stuff ready for pickup or delivery. They host lots of events too!

Black Hills Vinyl, let me tell ya, they sell cool things that spin. I'm not into vinyl myself, BUT! I've become an avid disc golfer and Vinyl has such a good selection of discs. It's organized, by brand, speed, and in my experience always has the newest releases as well. I always leave with another cool disc or two...or 5. And if you think their selection of discs is large, you should see all the vinyl 😉 The shop has a great vibe, and has great staff. They've always been friendly and accommodating. I think it's also worth mentioning how cool it is that they also support the local disc golf scene in general with tournaments, prizing, etc. They support local hobbies, and we should support them as locals too. Do yourself a favor, head on down and buy something that spins. 👍 5/5

Love this place. I am a Music Connoisseur. The guy working the register was wearing a band t-shirt that I immediately recognized (they're not well known, so it was cool to see someone wear their merch).

My cousin frequents this place often amd I decided to get him a gift card for here.

Highly recommend this spot for people to discover new music or even just pick up some vinyls for a certain band they like, ect.

We have spent hundreds of dollars over the years here at Black Hills Vinyl. No more. Their self-centered and small-minded position in opposition to the unifying and community-building Summer Nights events has run me off forever. There are a myriad of alternatives to this record store. I wanted to keep the money local, but this time.... Hello eBay.

Edit: Well, I hope they're happy as, well, as happy as happy can be. Summer Nights is now officially cancelled, in large part due to self-centered, self-important, joy-killing, blathering business-critters in Downtown Rapid. R I.P. Happiness, one sad step at a time.....
