Review from a visiting tourist! This jaunt exceeded our wildest expectations! We were a little timid looking at the website and pulling in the park lot but PLEASE if you are visiting or trying for the first time just go in. The bartenders are fantastic and make you feel comfortable and the place is just incredible to look around, even if you aren’t the “bar type”. They have memorabilia, arcade games, and table games so there’s plenty to do besides the events. Cannot recommend enough if you are visiting Alaska it’s just such an experience and treat to walk through. Bonus, we went on an open mic Monday and was so entertained and enjoyed all the lovely acts. Don’t hesitate, just go and enjoy!

Great outside deck with tables and cornhole. Old school video games. Fantastic music. Bartender, I did not catch his name, (young, dark hair) was super fun and helpful. Friendly patrons made us feel at home. Highlight of our time in Anchorage.

Not the best not the worst. They usually have goodish live music. On a regular basis. There drinks are over priced because they have no cover. The bartenders are sassy and fun. Plus the bird room has bras hanging on the ceiling.

Whether it be karaoke, great musicians, or even arcade time or pool shooting, Koot's has it all. Sure, this place might have had a reputation in the past, but nowadays it's a fantastic place to be with lots to do and see and vibe with.

It wasn't terribly loud for a Thursday night, and I also felt happy knowing that the staff is mindful and free to speak for their safety, and further, the safety of others. Nothing was wrong, but it was heartening to know that someone is keeping an eye on things. Loved it, they have an arcade, and some people outside played that beanbag game.

I didn't eat the food, I hope I'm allowed to leave that blank.

If I could post no stars I would. Wouldn’t let a friend in because of out of state ID, gaslit explanation and kicked us out to wait in the cold for UBER, extremely unprofessional, extremely disrespectful. Will never come back.

We love koots but so far security doesn't know drunk from a pack of poop.....definitely need more training because we went there tipsy but they deemed us drunk compared to the other people there who were tripping over there own shoes overall koots has gone down hill.....can't make drinks...would rather go to the stabin cabin.........

Went here on recommendations from some locals I met at Jackie’s (favorite breakfast spot). I guess I missed Abbalaska, who sounded like they would be a great group to hear. I went and Vintage Retro was playing and I thought they were a great cover band with a great range. Kelly was the bartender and she was amazing. Let me sample an Alaskan stout, which I liked and drank the rest of the night. She also directed me to the other bars, within Koots, so I could see them (first time visitor). Definitely enjoyed my stay and highly recommend for a night out in Alaska.
