I cannot begin to describe how utterly amazing this place is. If you love mead, if you have ever heard of mead, if you’ve ever seen 13th Warrior and wondered what the buzz was about (see what I did there?), try it. I swear there isn’t a bad flavor in the options and the Queen Bee is honestly the best mead I’ve ever had. The tap room is cozy and fun. It’s been the highlight of our bar crawl day in Anchorage by far.

I’ve always considered that my dad has always made the best mead, which sets the bar at a high level, and it’s been a bit of hunt of finding a meadery that meet that high bar. Anchorage has a high concentration of small micro-breweries, on my way to a new one that I haven’t been to before, an open sign catches my eye with a sign for Hive Mind Meadery. A quick u-turn later, I quickly found myself enjoying a mead that reaches that high bar. Traditional Buzz Booster is an amazing classic mead that has that full amazing honey flavor that I love. I quickly followed up with a sampler flight, White Tea Collab, Blueberry Buzz, Lemon Buzz, and Basic Bee. Each one is amazing, I’m super stoked to find this place, It’ll be on my go-to list when I get to Anchorage.

Finally stopped in at The Hive Mind! Got a flight being dealers choice my selections where POG Buzz, Bee Gay, Admiral’s Cask, Tactical Cyser. Across the board the flavors were an adventure for each and to think that they would clash they worked in conjunction together. Out of all my first one finished and surprising to me too was the Admiral’s Cask it is a dry white like mead finishing with French oak flavors. If you haven’t tried a dry mead yet I recommend this one to be your first dry mead. Tristan is an informative and awesome guy, tons of knowledge. Got on the Patreon group on the spot. This WILL NOT be my last time in. Thanks Hive Mind

We had some time to kill before catching our flight and we’re so happy we stopped at Hive Mind Meadery! The staff, especially Christopher, were very friendly and the Mead was delicious. Definitely a place to visit!

Our first taste of Hive Mind was at the Alaska Botanical Garden for a special beer garden event they held. It was so good we stopped by the meadery later that week! Every meade we tasted had its own unique twist, and the ABV is upwards of 10% on most drinks, so you can grt quite a buzz! They have adult "Capri suns" for purchase so you can get your ? on at home. Plus, the owner is a super cool guy. Support your local business because this place is definitely worth checking out.

Outstanding selection of mead and incredible themed game/meeting room. What an awesome place to hang out and catch a delicious buzz. Come in and grab a tactical space pouch or top off your growler.
