I went there a few times and enjoyed it. When I went to a healing arts event I had some bad experiences that make me never want to go again. I was touched inappropriately by one of the kitchen staff. And all during the event there were people with their phones out walking around making recordings. I'm sure I was recorded at least twice without any consent before I just put on clothes the rest of the event. Real downer as the owner is a nice person and most of the people were friendly.

This place is an oasis in the Santa Cruz mountains, and we have been loving it for many years. We go there to perform comedy to soak to eat great food to make friends and strengthen community. A must go place if you love nature and peaceful life!

Overall, my experience was fantastic. The location was perfect, nestled in the forest yet conveniently close to the highway. The crowd was professional and verified, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The amenities, such as the nude hot tub and swimming pool, were excellent.

However, I did have a couple of concerns. Firstly, at the event on the 29th, the crowd was fantastic, but there was a lack of dancing in the birthday suite. While I would have loved to join in, I felt shy, and I believe the management could encourage more participation.

Secondly, the hot tub was very dirty the day after the event, which discouraged many guests from using it. I feel that the management should have taken better care of it, particularly since it was such a highlight of the experience.

Despite these minor issues, I would still highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights in a Yurt at the Lupin Lodge. We had an absolutely amazing time!!! The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. There’s a chef who works the weekends, she was exceptionally amazing. She whipped us up personalized meals/ drinks. All the food was fresh and delicious. This was our first time at a clothing optional resort and the vibe was so friendly/ welcoming/ non-judgmental. We would definitely recommend a visit to this wonderful place. And we will back again soon!

My boyfriend and I just spent the weekend at Lupin Lodge and to say we had an amazing time is an understatement. From the beautiful grounds, to the welcoming staff and guests, and the feeling of feeling safely nude, we’re already ready to book our next trip and to bring friends. (Also, for context, we are in our early 20s, live in LA and have never been to any sort of nudist community.) If you’re debating whether or not to go - the answer is GO!! ||||We were greeted by a few of the staff and felt incredibly welcome right away. They showed us to our yurt (new dome) which was extremely spacious, clean and very comfortable. They made sure we had (2!) heaters and plenty of blankets and we felt totally comfortable. The yurt was also very close to the bathrooms which were clean and modern. ||||The residents, guests and staff are really what make Lupin special. Michelle, the chef, was sure to personally look after us and served up some of the tastiest meals we’ve had in a while, which were prepared with fresh herbs and produce from the Lupin garden. Lori Kay, Lupin’s owner, puts so much care and attention into every detail of the experience - particularly on creating a safe and welcoming community of members. And she’s done an incredible job - we had scintillating conversation with so many of the guests. There was an openness to the conversation that felt very surprising and refreshing. We participated in game night on Saturday and had a lot of laughs & made fast friends. ||||The property and accommodations were also beautiful! Lupin is settled into the mountains near Los Gatos, and wildlife is common. We saw families of deer prancing around all day. They have tennis, pickle ball and volleyball courts, as well as a pool, sauna and hot tub which we totally took advantage of. It was so relaxing. ||||If you’re worried about being nude, or around others nude, don’t worry. The club is “clothing optional” mostly everywhere except for the pool/ hot tub and sauna. We felt silly for the first 30 seconds after stepping out of our yurt, but settled in right away and felt totally at ease - and honestly, preferable! ||||Thank you again to everyone who made our experience so wonderful - we can’t wait to return!

Lupin is a welcoming and sweet community of hippies young and old. I love that it's clothing optional in a very relaxed and family friendly way. It's a rare thing to be able to sunbathe nude and not worry about who might be around. It's wonderful to feel comfortable in one's own skin and see others just as comfortable. Lupin is lovely place to relax and is a great base camp for adventures in Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas for hiking, climbing and biking. At Lupin itself you can enjoy the pool, hot tub, tennis court, volleyball court and all the activities the staff organize. I've been to Lupin three times and I look forward to going back soon.

My partner and I (both 27 year olds, and queer) had an amazing experience all around. Great food, clean facilities, and kind and thoughtful management. We car camped knowing that we'd want to spend ample time exploring the grounds. We hiked in the morning, swam in the afternoon, and enjoyed expansive views, and kind, genuine, and interesting company. This community isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for an authentic naturist experience, look no further.

I spent a week at Lupin Lodge and really enjoyed my stay. The place is nestled in nature: trees, trails, creeks, deer, birds, flowers - so much life. The pool and hot tub area were extremely clean and surpassed my expectations. I stayed in a yurt and really enjoyed the comforts of the yurt, especially the heated blanket. The bathroom and showers were clean as well. The restaurant was good and they served an amazing veggie burger, but I wished they had a bigger selection of healthy foods (more greens). Beyond all this, I appreciate the mindset of the place, which is one of full acceptance and freedom.
