I enjoyed learning the native culture. I loved listening to the stories and seeing the Totem Poles. Also liked meeting the Pole Masters and seeing the making of a Totem Pole. I was especially thrilled to watch the dance and music. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The Totem poles were interesting especially learning about shaming and honoring poles. I loved the story about the bears. This was a two hour excursion that was interesting and pleasant to be a part of. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We bought the Ultimate Saxman native village experience. We sampled locally made sodas, beer, wine and locally sourced and made foods.
We were taught a little about native art and received a wonderful explanation of several local totem poles, their history and the story behind them.
The carving house had several works underway but it was cut a little short because we’re were approaching closing time.
The workers we came in contact were all lovely. From the young men taking us on our tour or explaining his art to the people the gift shop. They are all kind and happy to visit. I can’t recommend this enough.

Such a beautiful park. We loved learning about the culture, dances and totems. The guides are amazing, entertaining and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately the gift shop is quite expensive and nothing I saw was locally made.

Overall an amazing experience!

Visited it as part of our tour so didn't pay any entry fee . It's some totem poles with some stories. There was a Abraham Lincoln totem pole honoring him but don't know it's provenance. Was told it was from the time of the Lincoln proclamation.

The master carver of the totem pole is a 87 year old veteran and he spent some time telling us about the pole he was working on.

You can see the poles from the road. No need to pay to see them.

I went with a tour guide and with about 30 tourists. It was a rainy cold day in Ketchikan.
It was interesting to hear the guide explained the meaning behind the symbols on each pole.
On the drive to the park we saw 2 seala, 2 deer and a bear!
